Description:
The Lütsov was the lead ship of the Deutschland-class armored battleships, originally named Deutschland. It had a standard displacement of 11,700 tons and a full load displacement of 16,200 tons. Its main engine produced 57,000 horsepower, giving it a top speed of 26 knots. Its armament included six 280mm main guns, eight 150mm guns, six 105mm guns, twenty-eight 40mm guns, and an eight-tube 533mm torpedo launcher. It was sunk by Allied bombers in April 1945.
